Biju.in reply to: Fingerprint Scanner with Software for Colleges #19898Hi Josh,
Yes Lenvica HRMS can store fingerprint images in database. Also a report with fingerprints is possible.
You can even use a small fingerprint scanner as a time attendance device.
Details are in the link below:

Biju Georgein reply to: Outstation visits #19896Hi,
1. You can define your own attendance types. (General – Attendance Types) With this option you can create an attendance type called 'Outstation Visit'. Based on your requirement, the attendance type can be in 'days' or 'hours'.
2. When an outstation visit happens, you can mark the information under 'Attendance – Attendance'. Now, there will be totals by itself.
3. These totals are available under salary for calculations. So, make the formula against the corresponding 'salary head'.
4. You can also mark overtimes under 'Attendance – Attendance'.
Please watch these videos:
http://www.lenvica.in/showvideohelp.php?swfile=Att_Attendance&swfheight=738&swfwidth=928
http://www.lenvica.in/content.php?page_name=how_pay_overtime_employee5. You can punch in/out times for an outstation employee using 'Time Registration – Manual Punching'.
Hope this helps. If not, call me :)
Warm Regards,
Biju GeorgeHi Josh,
The basic difference is:
1. The professional version is installed in a PC with an embedded database. Whereas, the enterprise version includes a server, and many clients which work with a centralized database.
2. So, only one user can work on the professional version at a time. Whereas, multiple users can work with the enterprise version at any time.
3. Enterprise version includes thin clients for employees(Employee Self Service). So employees can apply for leaves online. Also they can view their attendance reports, salary reports and so on.
You should upgrade to Lenvica HRMS – Enterprise if you want:
1. Multiple users to use the system at the same time.
2. You have lots of employees and many managers
2. You want your employees to apply for leaves online
3. You want your employees to punch online
4. You want your employees to view reports onlineThanks,
Biju GeorgeHi,
Glad that it helped. I see that you are an expert :)
The communicator is a tray application. If there is a problem, you can stop the process with your 'Task Manager'.
The communicator will be restarted when you open 'Lenvica HRMS'. Or you can restart it using the 'Program Menu'.
Hope this helps.

Biju GeorgeHi,
Lenvica HRMS can communicate with Time Attendance devices in different ways.
1. Direct SDK Communication – Direct IP based communication with the device.
2. Attendance data import from another database – If your time attendance device is using a database to store the data, we can fetch time attendance data directly from the database, in regular intervals.
3. Attendance data import from a text file – We call it mapping. Once you do the mapping, Lenvica HRMS will regularly read time attendance data from this text file.
If option 3 is possible, you can import data as shown in video below:
How to connect a Time Attendance device? (Import from text file)If option 2 is possible, share your database with us, and we will create a plug-in to read from your database.
If you choose option 1, please ask your device manufacturer to share the SDK with us, and we will create a plug-in to directly communicate with your device(s).
Look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards,
