Lenvica HRMS can import data from time attendance or access control devices in different ways. In this post, we will consider only the direct communication method with TCP/IP. With the direct communication method, Lenvica HRMS will communicate directly with the device over LAN or internet.

1. Device on LAN

When the device is on the same LAN as the server, the following configuration settings apply.

2. Device on Internet with Static IP at the remote location

When the device is on a remote location with Static IP, the following configuration settings apply.

Note: Port Forwarding will have to be done at the remote location to make the device accessible over the internet. The modem configuration settings for Port Forwarding is below:

3. Device on Internet with Dynamic IP at the remote location.

When the device is on a remote location with dynamic IP address, the following configuration settings apply.

a) Port Forwarding should be done at the remote location to make the device accessible over the internet.

b) A PC should be available at the remote location to send the changing IP address to Lenvica’s Server. Click here to download a tool that sends your IP address to Lenvica’s Server. This tool should be installed at any PC in the remote location.

c) Lenvica’s support team should create a DNS Name for you.

4. Multiple devices on Remote Location

When a remote location has multiple devices, or when Port Forwarding is not possible, Lenvica HRMS Communicator should be installed at the remote location. Lenvica HRMS Communicator will collect data from devices and update the server.

Note: Port forwarding is required on the server side to make the database available to Lenvica HRMS Communicator running on the remote location. The modem configuration settings for Port Forwarding is below:
