This help document describes how to configure the Canteen Management software to analyse canteen usage and cost.
Step 1: Add Canteen Devices
I’ve three canteens in my company with each having a time attendance device to capture canteen attendance.
Location Houston has two canteens one for Staffs and the other for Workers.
Location Miami has one canteen for all staff.
Step 2: Define Zone wise Canteen Rates
Over here, you can specify the canteen rate for each hour of the day. You can specify different rates for different calendar periods.
At Houston, Breakfast is served between 7AM and 10AM and it costs $3.
Lunch is served between 12 Noon and 3PM and it costs $5.
Dinner is served between 7PM and 10PM and cost is $4.
And this plan is for the whole year.
Now, let me configure the canteen rates for Miami.
That’s it! The canteen configuration is done!
Step 3: Analyze Canteen
Let us analyze the canteen usage and cost for Houston and Miami.
At Houston, on first of February, 44 employees accessed the canteen for breakfast between 7AM and 10AM.
And the overall cost for the day is $374.
And the overall cost for the month is $48718.
At Miami, 256 employees accessed the canteen for the month and the cost for the month is $16333.
The charts show the daily employee and punch count.
Step 4: Zoom in to the details
Now, let’s zoom in to a day to identify the employees who accessed the canteen and also the times at which they accessed the canteen on that day.
Step 5: Employee wise Canteen Usage Summary
Screen shows employee wise canteen usage and cost for a period. The data also shows usage and cost for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Step 6: Zoom in to an employee
Pick an employee to view canteen usage and cost of the employee for the month.
The Canteen Management system provides accurate summary of canteen data to make payments to the Canteen Manager and to collect canteen cost from employees. Along with the overview, the system also allows drill down to the lowest level of detail on employee usage and canteen cost.
