Step 2: Add a new Holiday

I’m going to declare Christmas Day as a Holiday to the whole company.

Step 3: Assign the Holiday to the Company

You can choose to apply the Holiday to the company, a location, a department or a set of employees.

Step 4: Click ‘Finish’ to assign the Holiday to all your employees

To review the assigned Holiday, let’s take a look at the Attendance Screen.

The holiday is also visible to the employees over the Employee Self Service module.

Step 4: Click ‘Finish’ to assign the Holiday to the selected locations

Now, let’s go to the attendance screen to take a look at the assigned Holiday.

A Holiday overrides the work plan for the day. So, it’s recommended to assign holidays to employees at the beginning of the year. If you have an unforeseen holiday, it’s recommended to assign it to your employees at least a few days before the holiday.
