Casual Leave(CL) is a leave granted to employees when they are unable to report to work due to an unforeseen situation. Every employee is entitled for a fixed number of casual leaves each year. Employees can apply for Casual Leave when they have unforeseen situations such as Death of a relative, Medical emergency for a relative, and special occasion in family.
Casual Leave Entitlements
Your employer assigns casual leave entitlements to you yearly, monthly or as you complete certain number of days of work. If casual leave entitlements are credited on a monthly basis or a lower period, the unused casual leaves are carry forwarded to the next month. Casual Leaves are not usually carry forwarded to the next year; if unused, they will lapse. You can track casual leave balance, credit and usage on your Employee Self Service Portal.
How to apply for a Casual Leave?
The Employee Self Service Portal allows you to raise Casual Leave applications from your mobile phone. Check your Casual Leave Balance before making a new application.
Casual Leave Approval
When you apply for a Casual Leave, your manager receives a notification, and either approves or rejects it.
Once approved or rejected, you will get a notification from the system. If your application is approved, your attendance will be updated automatically.
