Hello,
I work in the HR department of our company. I have been managing Lenvica HRMS time attendance software in our company for the last four years to track attendance and leave of our staff. We have now been instructed by our management to introduce floating holidays for our staff. Please explain the concept and clarify whether we can manage floating holidays using your time attendance software?

Floating holidays are paid holidays you give to your employees, but they aren’t tied to specific dates like other fixed public holidays are. Typically, employees can use floating holidays at their discretion. Many employers that offer floating holidays allow them to be unrestricted and taken at any time, usually with notice required. Some employers that offer floating holidays allow them to be unrestricted and taken at any time, usually with notice required. However, employers can choose to restrict them to specific times, such as during the employee’s birthday month, regional festival days or religious festivals not mandatory to everyone etc.
Yes, it is possible with Lenvica HRMS to manage the floating holidays.
Users can easily manage floating holidays in Lenvica HRMS by creating an attendance type for floating holidays. Assign entitlements to employees. You must enable holiday picker under Leave settings. Employees can then raise applications for floating holidays through employee self service. It will go to their reporting managers and on their approval, floating holidays are automatically updated in the attendance screen of employees. Various reports that give exact detail to users regarding the consumption and balance are availabe in Lenvica HRMS. Hello Tony,
Create an attendance type for floating holidays. You must enable holiday picker under Leave settings. For creating a floating Holiday in holiday calendar, follow the steps below:
1. Open Holiday calendar
2. Add a new Holiday. Choose type as floating holiday type created in attendance types and assign to company
3. Select Company for allowing employees to pick the holiday in Employee Self Service
4. Click finish to create floating holiday.After creating all floating holidays in holiday calendar, assign entitlements to employees. Employees can then raise applications for floating holidays through Employee Self Service.

Our company calls this flexi holidays. It can be taken by the employee without requiring any approval. Lenvica HRMS time attendance software is very flexible when compared to the other HR software we have reviewed. Once we tried this, we didn’t have to look further.
