Hi, I run a school and have been using Lenvica HRMS time attendance software to track the attendance of our staff using RFID machines and use this attendance data to process payroll in the software itself. We have been dependent on the system for more than 5 years now. By this time, our staff are well in practice with the custom of using the ID cards to register their clock in and clock out in the RFID time attendance machines. We are planning to acquire new machines for our new building along with which we plan to replace the old ones. I’m in doubt whether to go with RFID itself or should I go with biometric clock machines? What are the benefits?

Hello,
We recommend replacing the old RFID machines with new biometric clock machines with state of the art face or fingerprint recognition.
Biometric recognition for time attendance and access control is the most advanced
Speaking of the advantages of replacing the RFID with biometric time attendane machines, the primary is buddy punching – basically when an employee clocks in for a co-worker using the RFID shared physically. A biometric time clock can likely eliminate this issue entirely because the actual person has to clock in themselves – they aren’t simply carrying a card instead they must use their fingerprint or face to mark to clock in or out.
Second is the verification time, biometric clocks are much faster in verifying and registering the clock in & out of employees.
You can check the list of state of the art machines in the links below. All these machines are compatible with Lenvica HRMS Time attendance software which means you can easily automate your time attendance process.

Hi,
We are running a plastic products production company. We have around 40 access control devices that are almost 10 years old now. We are planning to replace the devices with Face & Fingerprint access control devices. But the challenge is to register all the employees again individually to 40 devices. What do you suggest that could be the best solution to this?

Hello Tessy,
Lenvica HRMS Time Attendance Software is complatible with Time Attendance devices from ZKTEco, Essl etc. It is possible to copy users from one Time Attendance device to another using Lenvica HRMS Time Attendance software. You can register all your employees in one master device. Connect all Time Attendance devices with Lenvica HRMS Time Attendance Software and copy the users from ‘Manage Template’ option in Lenvica HRMS to the remaining devices. This will save a lot of your time and enable you to complete this implementation quickly.

Hi. My client is a hospital with about 1000 staff with five different shifts. We have shortlisted ESSL x990 fingerprint time attendance system. Is this time attendance device compatible with Lenvica HRMS time attendance software? Can your time attendance software process salary? We also need provisions to pay Salary Advance, Bonus, Employee Loan, Income Tax, EPF, PT and ESI. Are they supported?

Hi Kumar. Lenvica HRMS Time Attendance Software is compatible with ESSL x990 fingerprint time attendance system. Lenvica HRMS is a modular software with the following modules: Attendance, Shift, Leave, Payroll, Loan, Advance, Bonus, Employee Self Service, Management Information System and Income Tax. Configuration and statutory reports are available for ESI, EPF, PT and Income Tax.
In this time attendance payroll software, it is possible to process the payroll by using data from the attendance devices, shift rosters and the attendance import rules. Once implemented properly, the software is fully automated. All you will have to do every month is, to open a new salary period and then run the salary processing. Payslips can be sent automatically on closing the salary period to the employees over the employee self service module. Salary Registers and bank statements can be generated. Using Task Schedulers, reports can be scheduled to be emailed automatically. These features will help you save a lot of time and help you focus on your core business.

Why is Biometric time clocks better than using RFID machines?
-
The primary similarity between the RFID based attendance system and a biometric attendance system is that they both automatically keep track of when employees enter and leave an area. The main difference between a biometric attendance system and an RFID based attendance system is that the RFID based attendance system uses tags, which can be exchanged between employees, while a biometric attendance system uses organic matter that cannot be exchanged. This makes stealing time from a place of work much more difficult because it removes the chances that buddy punching will work. Normal systems use employee identification numbers or punch cards to record when an employee enters or leaves an area, RFID based attendance systems use tags which can be exchanged among employees, but fingerprints or retinas are not able to be shared.
Another difference is that the biometric attendance system requires the employee to actively scan his or her fingerprint in order for the system to register that he or she is there. With an RFID based attendance system, the tags will be scanned immediately when the person enters an area.
Biometric attendance systems are much more adept at keeping time theft to a minimum, and it is considered to be the superior attendance system.
At the same time, RFID devices can perform better compared to fingerprint devices, if you have a large workforce to manage. But, Face recognition devices offer similar performance and good accuracy when compared to RFID devices. Biometric devices with support for Face, Finger, and RFID are available, so, it’s probably wiser to use a device with multiple options.
