Hello,
Can anyone please give me the formula how I can deduct from Employee
salary for each late in minutes, early out minutes and absent days?I tried this formula but its not working for me >:( >:(
Penalty For Absent Time = [<Late In_Hours> + <Early Out_Hours> +
<Absence_Days>]*[Rate Per Hour]Waiting for your reply

Hi Abel,
The value of variable <Absence_Days> is in 'Days' where in the other variables <Late In_Hours> and <Early Out_Hours> are in 'Hours'. You need to convert <Absence_Days> to hours. That is <Absence_Days> * Planned work hours of a day.
Ex:
Penalty For Absent Time = [<Late In_Hours> + <Early Out_Hours> + (<Absence_Days> * 9) ] * [Rate Per Hour]Hope this helps

Hello,
Thank you your reply.
I tried the formula with only late in time and early out time and it is not working for me :(
For Example.
When I check this report for Four days
Attendance -> Attendance Report -> “Report on Planned And Actual Work Time Duration for a selected Period”
I get ————– “- 00:24” ————– this is a wasted time for the selected employee and we need to deduct from his salary for this amount multiplied by his hourly rate.So I created a Salary head called “Absent Day and Time Penalty” and set the formula as:
(<Early Out_Hours> + <Late In_Hours>)*[Rate Per Hour]
Where [Rate Per Hour] is 20When I process salary for the given date (four days) I should get (0.24(Total wasted time)*20(Rate per hour)) 4.80 as a Penalty but I am getting 0 (zero). I think I have missed something …
Can you please help me?
