Attendance update task will not complete its cycle if there is a communication disruption between the server and Device.
Here is a solution you can go with:
In General->Task Scheduler, you can schedule the attendance import as a recurring task. This way its not required for you to do the clear and re-import process you are pursuing daily. Since its a necessity for you to generate a report every day for the previous day you can schedule this attendance import task to be done every morning/evening before you sign into work.
